Sketchy Batman

To keep with the Batman leitmotif I have going, here's a pencil drawing I did many years ago of an Andy Kubert-drawn Batman. As you can see, Bats is wearing a helmet. This was an issue where Batman was fighting one of the Predator creatures. So he wore a Bat-helmet. Don't worry, Bats won. Damn, did I just give away the ending?

This was done simply with pencil on drawing paper (then scanned into the computer, of course). It was completely freehand in that I didn't use any grids or anything, just had Andy's picture in front of me and I drew it. Drawing is very hit or miss with me. I can sometimes do something like this that I think turned out pretty good. Other times it'll just suck holy aspartame. And drawing was never a passion for me. It was something I was naturally somewhat good at, and I've taken a half-dozen drawing classes through the years, but I get bored with it. I'll draw like crazy for a month or two, and then lose all interest for 10 months (or even a couple of years). Go figure.

You get four snaps in a "z" formation for using 'aspartame' in a sentence!
